YouTube videos, apps, online tutorials and books (whilst often very useful) are no substitute for private, structured tution.
- Q. How long will it take me to learn to play the guitar?
A. This is an ambiguous question, which makes it really difficult to answer. It goes without saying that everyone is different. We all pick things up at different paces and have numerous constraints on our practice time.
Here’s a rough timeline of what to expect at each phase of the learning journey:
